ABOUT DR. FELTUS

Meet Geré

Dr. Geré Feltus is a Board-Certified Family Physician. A native of Dallas, Dr. Feltus graduated from Duncanville High School in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Austin College in 2001, her Medical Degree from Wake Forest University in 2006, and completed her residency in Family and Community Medicine at the University of Maryland in Baltimore in 2009. Following residency, she returned home to Texas where she serves as the Medical Director of the Mesquite Employee Health Center and the supervising physician for the Mesquite Community Health Center.

 

During her medical training, Dr. Feltus developed a special interest in community outreach and promoting healthy lifestyles, particularly in faith based settings. She has partnered with local churches to develop programs that target the prevention of cardiovascular disease, obesity, diabetes, and mental health disorders. Additionally she has served as a board member for the American Heart Association and as a volunteer mentoring middle and high school students through CityChurch McKinney.

 

Dr. Feltus is an active citizen of McKinney where she has served on the Board of Directors for the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, the Children's Advocacy Center of Collin County Board of Directors, the Advisory Council for McKinney's Police Chief, Greg Conley, and the Collin College Law Enforcement Academy Advisory Board. She is a proud alumna of the Chamber of Commerce Leadership McKinney Class of 2020 and a member of One Community Church. 

 

Dr. Feltus has resided in McKinney for the past 10 years. She is the proud mother of two girls, Ryleigh (12 years old) and Zoe (10 years old.)
